The story of Joseph s one of a boy who was betrayed by his brothers and sold as a slave
into Egypt, then tempted by Potiphar's wife and unfairly thrown into prison for resisting
her. This is a story of triumph injustice and temptation; it is the story of a boy
who became the saviour of two of the greatest nations on earth. From early childhood, Simon of Cyrene expected the Messiah. He expected that the
Messiah would crush Rome and restore Israel to glory. But humility and submission to
the gentile Roman authority under whose cruel oppression Simon suffered- was the teaching
of the Nazarene; so Simon rejected Him. Finally he is forced to carry the cross of
the Man he hates so much... |
