Tabitha Adult School

Started at the beginning of the 90's Tabitha Adult School has trained hundreds of people who did not have the privilege
of learning to read or write.

The first course offers instruction in the Zulu language and seeks to help people with the basics of reading and writing in
their own language. Further courses are offered in basic English and a number of other skills useful for job
creation or employment.

The ABET (Adult Basic Education and Training). The curriculum, which is accredited by SAQWA,
includes: Level 1, 2 and 3 English and Zulu.

Besides the basic literacy there are skills training courses offered (see below).

A computer course is now offered. It starts with a basic computer literacy course.
Then Computer Concepts; Windows98 and Office 97.  Computer students vary in age from 18 to 48.

The centre has now become a training zone for the whole community.
