MINISTRY OF REV JOSEPH CHAUKE

Ev Joseph Chauke is in 1938 te Krugersdorp gebore. 'n Kind deur sy vader verlaat, maar deur sy stiefvader, Mnr Chauke, grootgemaak. In sy huis was daar geen sprake van 'n verhouding met die Here, die Bybel, kerk of gebed nie.

Hy het nie Woordverkondiging as 'n professie opgeneem nie, maar is deur die Here geroep. In die vroeë 1950's het hy die Here ontmoet en het hy 'n kind van God geword. Hy is deur Mnr Hans von Staden na die Here gelei. Die Here roep hom tot voltydse diens in die laat 1950's en gedurende 1957-59 ondergaan hy sy opleiding te Dorotha Sending. Hy en Gladys is getroud en hulle het 5 dogters. Sy het ook haar Diploma by Dorothea Sending verwerf. Sy is 'n ware voorbidder en ondersteun hom wonderlik in sy werk.

Daarna het hy 6 jaar diens in die Evangelisasiespan van die destydse NG Kerk in Afrika gedoen. Vanaf 1966 dien hy die Here as voltydse evangelis by Afrika Jeug Evangelisasie, 'n interkerklike geloofsending wat skole, kolleges, universiteite en plaasgemeenskappe met die Woord van God bedien.

Hy het die Woord dwarsdeur die land in kerke van al die rassegroepe bedien en het ook al geleenthede gehad om by universiteite op te tree, onder andere te Unisa, Universiteit van Pretoria en Medunsa. Verskeie hospitale, gevangenisse en Weermagsinstellings is deur hom besoek en oral reageer mense deur die genade van God op die Boodskap van Verlossing in Jesus Christus.

Op uitnodiging het hy die Woord in verskeie lande verkondig, ondermeer in Switserland, België, Bulgarye, Hongarye, Roemenië, Amerika, Mauritius, Roderiques en Rusland.

Die deur na die NG Kerk is besig om oop te gaan vir sy besondere boodskap. Enkele van die gemeentes waar hy al die Woord bedien het:

Die Here het Joseph met 'n besondere boodskap gesalf en ons glo dat dit ook tot groot seën in u gemeente sal wees.

Rev Joseph Chauke was born in 1938, in Krugersdorp. As a child he was deserted by his father, and raised by his stepfather, Mr Chauke. In their home the Bible, church, prayer, or a relationship with the Lord, were never mentioned.

He did not start to preach as a profession, but was called by the Lord. In the early 1950's he met the Lord and became a child of God, when mr Hans von Staden led him to the Lord. The Lord called him to full-time ministry in the late 1950's and during 1957 - 59 he was trained at Dorothea Mission. Here he married Gladys and they had five daughters. She also received her Diploma at Dorothea Mission. She is a true woman of prayer and assists him wonderfully in his work.

He then worked for 6 years with the evangelisation team of the Dutch Reformed Church of Africa. Since 1966 he serves the Lord as full-time evangelist at "Africa Youth Evangelism, an interdenominational faith mission serving schools, colleges, universities, and farm communities with the Word of God.

He ministers the Word of God throughout the country in churches of all races, and also at universities, viz. University of Pretoria, Unisa & Medunsa. He also visits many hospitals, prisons, army-institutions, and everywhere the people respond by the grace of God to the message of Salvation through Jesus Christ.

He has also preached the Word in different countries on invitation, viz. Switzerland, Belgium, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, America, Mauritius, Roderiques and Russia.

The door to the Durch Reformed Church is also opening for his wonderful message, and he has had the opportunity to minister in a number of their congregations already.

He can communicate in the following official SA languages, Afrikaans, English, Xhosa, Zulu, Pedi, Sotho, Tswana and Shangaan.
