Jacob wrestled with God

"They blew their trumpets
and the whole enemy army ran away yelling."

turning their hearts back again."
38 Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and
the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench.
39 When all the people saw this, they fell prostrate and cried, "The LORD - He is
God! The LORD - He is God!"
King Jehoshaphat defeats the Moabites & Ammonites
2 Chron 20
"Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the LORD,
The people of Judah
came together to seek help from the LORD ; indeed, they came from every town in Judah to
seek Him.
Then Jehoshaphat stood up in the assembly of Judah and Jerusalem at the temple of the
LORD in the front of the new courtyard 6 and said:
"O LORD , God of our fathers, are You not the God who is in heaven? You rule over
all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in Your hand, and no one can
withstand You
For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We
do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You."
Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jahaziel son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah,
the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph, as he stood in
the assembly. He said: "Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This
is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army.
For the battle is not yours, but God's. Tomorrow march down against them
You will
not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance
the LORD will give you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be
discouraged
Go out to face them tomorrow, and the LORD will be with you.'"
Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Listen to me, Judah and people of Jerusalem! Have
faith in the LORD your God and you will be upheld; have faith in his prophets and you will
be successful."
As they began to sing and praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and
Moab and Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated
When the men of Judah came to the place that overlooks the desert and looked toward the
vast army, they saw only dead bodies lying on the ground; no one had escaped
The LORD had given them cause to rejoice over their enemies." (verses 3
27)
Daniels 3 friends in the fiery furnace
Daniel 3
"He said, `Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed,
and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.
the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed;
their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them."
(Dan 3:25 27)
Daniel in the lions den
Daniel 6
Daniel answered, "O king, live forever! My God sent his angel, and he shut the
mouths of the lions. They have not hurt me, because I was found innocent in his sight. Nor
have I ever done any wrong before you, O king."

God delivers Jerusalem
Isaiah 37
[ The LORD declared: ]
"I will defend this city and save it,
for My sake and for the sake of David My servant!"
Then the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand
men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning-there were all the dead
bodies!

Jesus in the desert against satan

"Be gone, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him
only shalt thou serve."
Then the devil leaveth Him, and, behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

Jesus stills the storm
Mark 4:35 41
A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly
swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to
him, "Teacher, don't You care if we drown?"
He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, "Quiet! Be still!"
Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.
He said to His disciples, "Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no
faith?"
They were terrified and asked each other,
"Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey Him!"
Run to win!
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one
gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize."
(1 Cor 9:24)
Running towards the goal
"I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has
called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
(Phil 3:14)
The Prize which the Lord will give us on That Day
"Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness,
which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on That Day
and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His
appearing."

Promises to those who overcome
Rev 2 & 3
"To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree
of life, which is in the paradise of God." (Rev 2:7)
"He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death."
(Rev 2:11b)
"To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will
also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives
it."
(Rev 2:17)
"To him who overcomes and does My will to the end, I will give
authority over the nations He will rule them with an iron scepter;
he will dash them to pieces like pottery just as I have
received authority from My Father. I will also give him the morning star."
(Rev 2:26 28)
"He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will
never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before My
Father and His angels." (Rev 3:5)
"Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of My God.
Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the Name of my God and the name of the
city of My God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from My God; and I
will also write on him My new Name."

"To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with Me on
