Honey One of the smaller projects to help finance the ministry at Kwasizabantu is honey. A number of bee-hives are kept by friends near Saligna Gum plantations. The honey from Saligna is one of the smoothest there is. The hives are reaped once or twice a year - between 2 and 6 tons of honey - depending on a variety of factors. After the extraction process the honey is brought to Kwasizabantu in large drums. Most of the honey is then "whipped" to oxygenate and soften the honey which stays smooth and easy to spread on bread. The bottled honey is very popular and is sold at our own shop and various other outlets in KwaZulu-Natal.
