Weaving Project

The weaving project is one of the newest ventures. It has a two-fold purpose: to teach skills to the local population; and to assist with the financial needs of the mission. Orders are taken from as far as Germany. Different types of wall-hangings are made. An Evangelical church in Southern Germany has ordered a set of 4 hangings (including the paraments in the photos above).
Karen Scheben is assisting in the weaving project and is helping locals to learn her intricate skills. Assisting her are Monica and Mary. Equipment includes: looms, frames and spinning wheels.
