9 May 2004 - "A body for the Holy Spirit"

(Summary of sermon by Rev Erlo Stegen)

Rom 12:1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Present your body as a living, holy sacrifice to God. Do not imitate this world, but be transformed.

The story of David and Svea Flood is a reminder of God's faithfulness and how necessary it is that we surrender ourselves completely to God, and deny ourselves. Read the full story here

This reveals the greatness and awesomeness of God. Those who follow God, will be rewarded and His goodness will come their way. Some backslide or divert from following the Lord, because they are short-sighted. Never stop following the Lord with all your heart. We need ministers who are not ashamed to propagate the whole truth.

We must offer our whole bodies completely to be used of the Holy Spirit as He wants to. The story of Dr Walter Wilson's life transformation when he met the Holy Spirit and He filled him can be read here.

So we are beseeched to present our bodies a living sacrifice to the Holy Spirit. Have you done that? Would you do that today and be fruitless no more?
