JUST LIKE MAN
When we are enabled to pray for the right
things, there is no possibility to be having the wrong issues flooding our minds during
our secret duties, much less having our hearts obsessed concerning them at all! But, if we
are able to pray for the wrong things with all our heart, there is no possibility to be in
any degree fully aware of the right things. Sin brought the knowledge of good and evil
– someone who prays wrongly, is worse than a sinner, for such cannot even
differentiate between good and evil anymore! Everyone who is found praying for the wrong
things, inevitably misses whatever could be coming to him from God. To say such a person
is praying wrong and not having prayers fully answered, is the least you may state
concerning such, for such is also missing all he would receive by praying right for the
proper things, it is, therefore, not having two things at all. But, if God grants the
wrong request anyway, that is because God’s wrath is upon such for good, and He does
not want such to be unhappy in wrongdoing so as to stand a chance to repent because of
unhappiness, (Psalm 73).
Anyone who sings for self, to be praised, will
not sing to praise God alone. If you are ashamed to sing for God, surely, you will do
anything to gain the applause of the others for yourself. If you are fully enabled to sing
to sing for God alone, you will never fear to do it in front of a million people, nor will
you sing less or disdain to do so with the whole of your heart and voice because there is
but one little child to hear your. If you keep quite in praise, surely, you will be able
to sing a lot for yourself, even if you use God’s songs to do so.
Someone who talks a lot and says the wrong
things, is unmistakably one who is often quite concerning the right things. To say that
one talks a lot, is to state the least concerning such. In the same manner, someone who
has nothing to say which is wrong, no jokes, is always someone from whom wisdom flows out.
To state such are wise, is the least you can assuredly say about them – they are
never offensive towards God.
If you care about dead ones, your heart is
not loving towards living ones. Do not seek to love dead ones, for to look for living ones
among the dead is wrong in itself already – imagine how wrong it is to love dead ones
among the dead! None who loves a dead one cares for the living – no matter what you
say about it. If you love and miss them now, it is because you never loved them when they
lived. Now you love them because they do you no harm! You cannot love the dead and the
living at the same time – one or the other. People who love dead ones, love but
themselves. Those who love living ones, love God and not themselves. Conscience drives
people to love dead ones – not love.
