IS YOUR DAILY BREAD COMING FROM GOD?
Give
us this day our daily bread Mat 6:11
It is a usual thing
that we set our hearts to pray whenever we have to deliver a massage, talk to someone, or
have the right words to state whatever we believe will help others. We pray for the Spirit
to assist us, to do many things for us and though us, and everyone feels there is a need
to grant other people their bread.
The strangest
thing, however, is that many come to depend so much on asking from God whatever they
believe other people have and may eat from them which is not wrong at all
yet, they seldom do the same thing for themselves, whenever they themselves need food,
whenever they set their hearts to read something.
The best food one
may ever grant someone else, is the one we may have eaten ourselves, the one God has used
to talk to us personally. That food is good for anyone to eat, for we may share in it
ourselves it burns in our hearts and is enabled to be believed it has come from
God. That is just how our daily bread is given unto us OUR daily bread. That food
will also be kept warm within a clean, spotless heart, as we usually do keep any kind of
food warm for someone to come and eat still. It is possible to do so with that food that
is able to feed a spirit.
But the fact is
that, people seldom look up to God for their own food: these easily grab a book, a Bible
text because they do never think and believe they need to be receiving their own food from
the heart of God Himself. It is such a happening that even amazes heaven to the uttermost;
for people who ask to feed others, yet neglect their own food, or bake and cook it
themselves, usually have wrong motives in feeding others. I believe the only thing
important for such is but to cause a good impression more than a good distribution of food
unto hungry souls. If someone hungry comes to visit you, is it important that he eats well
and is fed, or that he does so from you? Is his hunger the problem or is it yours, your
hunger to be seen? Is it so important that God comes out to bless you in feeding others
alone? Is your own soul being neglected?
If your whole heart
is set to find (and not to ask alone) food for yourself as you would ask for a whole
gathering of people, then you pray well and know how to ask OUR daily bread be given
unto us. It means that you might just be concerned with the well-being of people
concerning Gods holy will, and that your care for yourself as you would for your
neighbour.
May you ask from
God what books you will read, where in the ocean of the Bible you will find your food
daily. You need to be fed in the same manner that you may want to feed others: on your
knees and there alone. Is it that hard for you to save yourself too, or do your prefer
getting hold of the whole world and starve yourself to death? Jesus said For what is
a man profited if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man
give in exchange for his soul? Mat 16:26.
Have you a way to
escape from piercing your own heart? Try from now on not to disappoint your Lord by being
a deceiver, a cursed one, for the Lord said But cursed be
the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt
thing: for I am a great King, saith the LORD of
hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen,
Mal 1:14.
If you grant other people heavenly
water, yet drink from your own yourself, Jesus has said something which fits you to listen
to: Whoever drinks of this water shall thirst again, John
4:13. Are you thirsty today still? Maybe
that is because you have been eating manna from yesterday, from the Library of a man of
God, having your Lord so close to you. You uphold a man of God, yet neglect the God of
that man, and He is a great King. |
