Friday 6 December 2002 (Today is also the last official school day for the
KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education. It means that all the transport will be a great
rush. The main crowds should start arriving tonight through to Sunday night and possibly
even Monday. The reason why 6 December was announced as the beginning of the conference
was because of the Messiah Concert on Sunday afternoon. We want to give as many young
people as possible the opportunity to be here by the time the concert begins at 2:30pm on
Sunday. (click here to read more about the
Sunday program)
From 6 to 13 December thousands of young people are expected at the Kwasizabantu Youth
Week.
This is the 28th year of Kwasizabantu Youth Conferences. We praise God for another
opportunity to reach young people with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The youth conference start as the schools close on Friday. We expect many thousands of
children to arrive during the weekend.
Probably about 6,000 will attend the week's services and there is an enormous amount of
preparation work necessary. The accommodation and food is always the most important part
of the many different aspects involved in caring for the needs of such a huge crowd.
On Sunday afternoon, at 2:30 the Händel's Messiah will be performed under the
direction of Lutz Kohrs (click here to read info).

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE LORD'S BLESSING TO BE UPON THIS DECEMBER YOUTH WEEK! |
