About 3,500 young people have now arrived for the July Youth Week. Many more are still expected through the night and right until Sunday evening transporting of children from near and far will continue.

Services have been held through the day (for those who arrived early) and this evening at 7pm was the official opening service. S'bongiseni Khumalo welcomed the young people (ages vary from 6 to 26 years of age). After the Kwasizabantu brass band had rendered some items the film "The Ten Commandments" was introduced.
