"God our refuge"

Jesus is our fortress in this time in which we live, because Jesus is the Name above every other name. The mortality rate in Africa is the highest ever. Even in such a time, He saves to the uttermost.

2Sam 22:2 "The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer."

A certain man tried to bribe another with a sum of money. He refused, but the first persisted, "Only you and I know about the deal". Then he answered, "What, doesn't heaven see us?" Today this man has a high position and is honoured because of his honesty and integrity.

In Korea they said to me, "those in the west had enough of you, why don't you spend the remainder of your days with us?" The revival in Korea started in 1907. Christianity is flourishing there so much so that just last year they've sent out over 13000 missionaries to other countries. They are also prospering economically and financially, whereas just a few years ago their economy was weak and struggling. They even manufacture their own cars. Why is it going so well with them? Because they've made God their refuge.
The revival began way back in 1907 when the missionary working amongst them were convicted of his own lovelessness towards his Chinese brethren, and he confessed it publicly to them and asked their forgiveness. Two other missionaries that were present, were also convicted of the same sin and confessed it. After that, a native Korean preacher stood up, and confessed how he dealt dishonestly with his deceased brother's money. This ignited a revival fire like when a fire consumes brushwood.
This can happen to you too, if you meet up with this One, who is our fortress.

There is a terrible disease in Africa, AIDS, destroying millions. How can you escape from this disease?
Adam and Eve, when they were created by God, were naked, but they were not ashamed, because they were innocent - sin had not entered the world yet. There was no thought of their nudity. Today, however, nudity is sought after in pornography, or boys would peep where girls bath. When Adam and Eve sinned, they became aware that they were naked and were ashamed. God clothed them. God covered their shame. Did you know the source of clothes?
In the decade of the 1960's, there was a sexual revolution, and with it came indecent clothing.
What does God say to all this? We read in Is 61:10,

I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
My soul shall be joyful in my God;
For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,
He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,
As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,
And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Let your garments also be evident as garments of salvation and heavenly liberation. Let both men and women recognise by your appearance that you belong to the Lord.

Prayer: Lord, many may have acted in ignorance, and as they turn to You, repenting of their worldly ways, show them Your abundant grace and your power to protect them as the Fortress.
