Tent Outreach in Jozini / Ingwavuma

The weekend of tent services (4 to 6 May) in the Jozini / Ingwavuma area were a great
success. Team members included: Philemon Mwelase, Jabulani Dube, Bongani Zondi, Lindiwe
Ngcobo and Heino Stegen.
The tent (click on picture above) was pitched in a very rural area where the occult is
widely practiced. Team member Bongani Zondi said, "we saw God working in a
wonderful way. The fruits of a 1997 KSB tent outreach were very evident." Zondi
told of how some of those who got converted in 1997 were now preaching the gospel and some
of their converts included those in occult bondage.
Besides the evangelistic preaching (in the morning and evening services) there were
also chances for testimonies. One man who gave his testimony and found Christ through some
of the converts from the 1997 tent campaign. He had spent vast sums of money on witchcraft
fetishes to make him rich. The fetish which he bought from a witchdoctor (for more info on
witchcraft / `traditional healers' click here) in
Komatipoort. He fell under the spell of this magic and was able to influence others with
its power. However, when he heard the gospel, through the Christians near Jozini, he
surrendered to the Lord and had his fetish burnt in a fire service.
The services were well attended, especially in the evenings. Please pray for the
converts and those who made new commitments to the Lord.
