Msinga Tent Meetings A number of tent meetings have been held in the Msinga district of KwaZulu-Natal. Last weekend (11 - 13 August) was a very special time of blessed meetings. The Kwasizabantu tent was in the Mthaleni (near Pomeroy) area. Usually, tent meetings are only full at night when everyone is home from work and can attend. However, even the meetings during the day were packed and many came to repentance. The co-workers who assisted in these meetings were: Alpheus, Philemon, Mabizela, Sipho, Makhoba, Nonhlanhla and Ntombiyinkosi.. The story about how this particular tent crusade came into being is
remarkable. About one year ago, at a similar Kwasizabantu outreach in Msinga, a young man
came to the Lord and his life was completely transformed. His father is an
"inyanga" (witch doctor) and his mother a "sangoma" (witch) and they
were grooming their son to take over their "business" later on. He was already
stepping in for them when customers needed certain fetishes and potions. When he came to
Christ last year he was utterly rejected by his family and had to go and live with some
Christians in the area. Recently however, his father said he can return home on condition
that he doesn't proselytize the others. The Lord willing, a special meeting will be held in a local hall this weekend. Converts from the recent campaigns will be coming together for a services. We may have some photos for you by early next week.
