Namibian Trip (8 - 17 July) John Powys, together with his family and a team, visitied Namibia from 8 to 17 July. Services were held in Gobabis. Many new people, including many German farmers, and many ethnic groups, attended the meetings. The theme was Hebrews 3: 13: "Exhort one another daily, lest you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." There was a lot of interest shown in True Love Waits. A certain retired doctor (of medicine and theology) attended one of the meetings. Afterwards he said: "That is the kind of messages I heard when I was a young boy but we don't hear it in the churches any more." |
