'Zurück zu biblischen Grundwerten'

Text:  Matth. 3,1 - 3

1 Johannes der Täufer

In Matth 11,11 sagt Jesus, dass unter denen die von Frauen geboren sind kein Mensch größer ist als J.der Täufer. Die Bibel berichtet uns von keinem Wunder das er tat, doch seine Botschaft war gewaltig. Johannes proklamierte nicht seine eigene Sache, sondern war beauftragt von Gott. Es ist erschreckend, dass ein Mann wie Johannes nicht akzeptiert wurde, sondern man ihn köpfte.

2 Tut Busse

Kernpunkt seiner Verkündigung war es Buße zu predigen. Buße bedeutet Sinnesaenderung, ein Punkt an den jeder Mensch in seinem Leben kommen muss. Dort wird sein Denken und Handeln sich verändern.

3 Das Himmelreich ist Nahe

Diese Sinnesänderung ist nötig, weil das Himmelreich nahe herbeigekommen ist. In Daniel 7, 13+14 können wir von Gottes Königreich lesen. Auch wenn heute oft gegen dieses Königreich gekämpft wird und Voltaire schon sagte “in 100 Jahren gibt es keine Bibel mehr” so bleibt Gottes Königreich dennoch bestehen.

Wo Jesus König ist, da geschieht sein Wille so wie im Himmel. In Jesu Königreich gilt das was er  verkündigt hat. “Wer eine Frau ansieht Ihrer zu begehren, der hat schon mit Ihr die Ehe gebrochen und wer seinen Bruder einen Narr nennt der ist ein Totschläger”.

4 Bereitet dem Herrn den Weg

Wir können nicht anderen Völkern und Religionen das Evangelium bringen, wenn unsere eigenen Kinder und wir selbst es nicht halten. Dem Herrn den Weg zu bereiten bedeutet, Dinge mit Gott und Menschen in Ordnung zu bringen die mir im Lichte Gottes aufgezeigt wurden. Das ist der Weg zu Gottes Wirken in Erweckungskraft.

 “Back to biblical principles”

1. John the Baptist

In Matth. 11,11 Jesus says that there has not one risen among those born of women, greater than John the Baptist. We do not read of one miracle he did, yet his ministry and message was full of authority. John did not proclaim his own ideas or teaching but he was commissioned by God to preach the Gospel. It is frightening to see that a man like John was rejected by the people of his time who even chopped his head off.

2. Repent

The main point of his preaching was repentance. True Repentance means to change your mind. This is the very point where our thinking, motives and our actions are changed.

3. The Kingdom of God is near

This change of attitude is necessary since the Kingdom of God has drawn nigh. In Daniel 7: 13 & 14 we read of God's Kingdom. Even though many strive against this Kingdom, for instance Voltaire who predicted that in a 100 years the Bible, nevertheless, God's Kingdom remains.
Where Jesus is King there His will is done as in heaven. In Jesus' Kingdom what matters is what He has put forth, His commandments matter.
He who looks lustfully at a woman becomes an adulterer,  and he who calls his brother a fool becomes a murderer.

4. Prepare the way for the Lord

We cannot preach the Gospel to other nations or religions if we do know how to teach our children to keep Gods commandment and to keep it ourselves. To prepare the way for the Lord means to make right between our fellow men and God, that which is revealed by God's light. This is the only way to experience God in revival power.
