James 1:25

But he who looks carefully into the faultless law, the [law] of liberty, and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience). • Blessedness - The Greek word, makarios, used in this verse, means to be "supremely blessed". The Afrikaans translates this word in other places as "welgeluksalig", which means to be three times blessed. Such a person has life joy, is satisfied and is to be envied.
• This verse gives the secret of obtaining such blessedness. You must study and go deep into God's perfect law of liberty, and persevere in it. You must meditate on God's Word, and obey His Word.
• God's Word must be our compass for direction. Never go according to your own feelings, but let His Word guide you.
